We're excited about this new season! No longer are we the "Rookie" team with nothing to prove. Now we are Conference Champions and we have to prove it wasn't a rookie fluke!

Join us as we fight to stay on top and rectify last years National Championship loss!

2016 Player Awards

The historic, inaugural 2016 season has shown that this team is filled with an amazing roster of players, making it incredibly difficult for the coaches to choose this year's award recipients.

Join us in congratulating these players for representing us on and off the field in exceptional ways and getting us to the 'ship in our FIRST season!

Also, a special congratulations to Melodie Anderson for being awarded the "Betty" Award.

Named after our mascot, the winner of the Betty Award is chosen by her teammates as someone who exemplifies what it means to be a team player, as well as representing the team well both on and off the field. She works hard and encourages her teammates to do better with her words and attitude. She may not be the star, but she is essential to the team!

NATIONAL CONFERENCE CHAMPIONS!!

On Saturday, June 25th, Richmond's FIRST women's football team, the Richmond Black Widows, beat the Keystone Assault to become the Tier III National Conference Champions and secure their trip to the Tier III National Championship in Pittsburgh in their inaugural season!

In a nail-biter that came down to the last 10 minutes of the 4th quarter, the Black Widows were in a battle of defenses, with neither team scoring in the first half. The Assault was the first to draw blood and with only 9 minutes left on the clock the Black Widows tied the score. They quickly followed with another touchdown and the Black Widows defense, which has been a force all season, held on to clinch the title and the trip to Pittsburgh.
